Escape Space

A single-player arcade space shooter for Windows, with branching faction missions, procedural contracts and RPG-style ship progression.

About Escape Space

Escape Space gives your mercenary three factions to work with: the Earth Military Conglomerate, the Void Outlaws and the Quantum Riders. Your actions have consequences, and the factions bring different combat styles and equipment to the conflict.

The campaign has three branching paths and twenty-two handcrafted story missions, with up to twelve story missions in a single run. Between those missions, procedurally generated contracts let you earn money and improve your reputation. Seven mission types vary the objectives, from escorting an allied unit to fighting enemy waves or attacking a fleet of elite enemies.

Progression is built around your ship. Seventeen weapons, twelve mods and forty-five upgrades give you ways to develop a loadout for your playstyle. Contract missions offer five difficulty levels, letting you choose the risk and rewards. Handcrafted pixel art and an original soundtrack by Scott Hsu accompany the journey.
